PREREQUISITE: You must already have a Second Life avatar with a Mainland Passport
This workshop you will work in pairs.
Part 1 - free play at the Murdoch Library land, trying out a number of tasks in the Treasure Hunt.
Part 2 - Visit to (Second Nature or Space Flight museum or Terra Incognita)
1. FREE PLAY AND TREASURE HUNT
Second Life Newbie Tips Created by jokay Wollongong and Sean McDunnough:
1. BE FRIENDLY
1.1 ADD A FRIEND:
Go to Friends button>Add type in their name>Select
1.2 INSTANT MESSAGE
Go to ~Friendsbutton>Click on the name>IM>Start typing in the chat box
GIVE THEM SOMETHING
1.3 Go to your inventory and find an object to drag onto your friend to give to them
TELEPORT THEM
1.4 Move away from your friend...way away. Go to Friends button>Click on the name>Select Teleport button.

2.FLY and LAND2.1 Got to Fly button >Use arrow keys to control
2.2 Try to land in the centre of the patterned rug

3. ANIMATE3.1 Stand on the dance floor
3.2 Click just once on the blue dance machine on the fence
3.3 Say "yes" to animation
3.4 Move around as you dance
3.5 Click once on the machine to stop dancing

4. RESEARCH4.1 Go to the "Steps to research"
4.2 Find the sign with a picture of the web page and click on it to force your browser to the web page
4.3 Click on a few of the balls and see what happens

5. USE YOUR INVENTORY5.1 Walk up the Steps to Research to the radio
5.2 Click on the radio to get your t-shirt
5.3 Go to Inventory button
5.4 Type "Murdoch" into the search box to find the t-shirt
5.5 Drag the t-shirt onto your avatar, or right click and select "wear".
